About us

Tribu Trails is a social enterprise build by two Filipino-Dutch sisters and a local family and their friends. We share one dream: to use tourism to help built better, more secure lives for the people who call this place home. Together, we welcome you into our daily lives and traditions, not just as visitors, but as temporary members of our tribe.

We create small, personal experiences like island boat trips, and traditional Filipino cooking classes. Every tour and classes are led by local guides and cooks who share the stories they grew up with, the recipes they learned from their parents, and the places they love most.

A meaningful part of our profit goes back into the community through projects we choose together with our neighbors.

Our Purpose

We started Tribu Trails to show a different side of tourism in El Nido: one where Filipino culture and nature comes first, not commercial profit.

Our purpose is to place local life, traditions, the beautiful environment, and values at the center of every experience through food, stories, language, and everyday moments that help guests truly feel what it means to be Filipino.

We do our best to care for both people and nature. We reduce waste, avoid single-use plastics where possible, and respect local customs and rhythms. We also choose a way of working that values long‑term community wellbeing over fast growth.

For us, sustainable tourism is not just a business model, it is how we take care of our home, our culture, and each other.
